About The Brand

I started my graphic design about ten years ago, working with various clients along the way. Starting out desinging flyers for local events, I would end up creating logos, brands and campaigns for various small businesses around the nation. It wasn't until 2018 when I decided delve into the world of software, starting with web development. As an experienced programmer, I am now able to offer my clients a whole new world of services! I am constantly working each day to further improve my skill and hone my abilities.

A Brand With History

I'm no rookie. I've been in the game for at least ten years! If you've made it this far, thank you. Lets take a look at my storied history as a graphic artist and web developer.

2010-2012

Typo Gfx

Founded in 2010 by my friend Cliff and I, Typo Gfx was my first freelancing endeavor. We were novices yet still able to create some of the best in logo and flyer design for up and coming businesses and public figures.

2012-2013

Off The Cliff

Off The Cliff was an expansion of the idea behind Typo Gfx. Cliff, Omari and I formed this company in hopes of creating an agency that contracted businesses to take care of their design needs. The endeavor was unfortunately short lived.

2013-2014

Design 4 Breakfast

Design 4 Breakfast was another short lived endeavor that was intended to be a design blog. The idea was to keep fans of my work updated with constant new pieces and projects delivered via a popular blog platofrm.

2014

Designed By Ray was the first brand I started using as a solo graphic designer. This is where I would say my freelancing journey really began, as I started attending more in-person events, networking and attracting stable clientele.

2014

2015-2016

Conscept

By the time 2015 had come around, I had met many talented artists who I would end up collaborating with. Conscept was a joint effort with Palm Beach based photographer Jiyo D, illustrator Cliff and myself. Together we tackled fashion show photography, event flyers and web design. This group disbanded due to creative differences.

2017

RL Designs

Due to the birth of my two twin boys, I had to take a long hiatus from the end of 2016 to mid/late 2017 to reorganize my life priorities. However, later this year, I would return under a new brand and a new drive to create. I haven't stopped since. It was during this time that I've made some of my best client relations.

2017-2019

OMG Ray

This is a logo that happened by accident! I was playing around with shapes one day and then this happened. I liked it and decided to use it as my personal brand logo for two years.

2019-2020

Ray Lopez

My most recent logo occurred as a result of wanting to get away from the "omg ray" style of branding and toward something more simple and straightforward. The idea behind this logo was to create someting more corporate and professional while still keeping with the manta ray motif.
